With a killer droid hot on your trail, hell-bent on killing whatever it encounters, you must find a way to Escape from Tethys in the latest metroidvania style game to arrive on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Scared and alone, are you going to be strong enough and intelligent enough to make it out alive?
Set on the distant and dark world of Tethys, the aptly named Escape from Tethys is a tough metroidvania action-adventure. Playing the role of a scientist, who’s usually creating new weapons and tech for situations when things go awry, you’ll have to overcome the meanest creatures inhabiting the planet in order to reach the surface. There’s also the minor issue of a deadly droid pursuing you throughout the already hostile environments. It’s only by unlocking unique upgrades, making the most of cool abilities, and using nifty weapons to fight, that escape is even a possibility.
While it won’t be easy, those up for the challenge of Escape from Tethys should attempt the relatively straightforward venture to the Xbox Store and then pay the necessary fee of £8.39 (or £6.71 if bought in the first 24 hours) to own it. This newest title from publishers Sometimes You – following the recent release of Steam Tactics – can be found on the Nintendo eShop and PS Store as well.
