Deadly Premonition plays out in the now traditional third person, over the shoulder camera view that has become de rigueur for survival horror games. The graphics, even back in the day, weren't the stand-out feature of the game though. They had a certain muddy quality, a low-res look that, while not impressive, did sort of suit the game's style. Certainly once I got into the story, the visual look ceased to matter to me.

The story of Dante's Inferno is epic in scale, involving betrayal, both of Dante and his love interest, Beatrice, along with a fight with Death himself, culminating in Dante stealing his scythe to use as his main weapon in the journey yet to come.

Monster Viator on Xbox One is one of the better KEMCO games to have been released. An engaging story, with likeable heroes and despicable baddies, a deep system of jobs, team building and a proper challenge add up to make Monster Viator a good game in its own right.

Journey to the Savage Planet on Xbox One is an amazing game, there are no two ways about it. It plays fast and fluidly, the enemies are challenging to kill, especially the bosses, and with a beautifully scripted, humorous thread of story running through, it’s been a joy to play.

All in all though and SuperEpic: The Entertainment Wars on Xbox One is a good experience. The Metroidvania hooks of exploration and new abilities, leading to further exploration, are all present and correct, and most importantly it’s great fun to play.

All in all and Eternum EX on Xbox One is a pretty good entry into the increasingly crowded retro market. It’s hard, challenging and, once you get used to the timing of the inputs, it’s good fun.

Way back in 2015, I was looking around for something different to play, and boy did I find it. With the release of Funk of Titans, developers A Crowd of Monsters, came up with an interesting take on classical Greek mythology.

Worbital on Xbox One does enough to differentiate itself from the rest of the gaming field. I’ve certainly not played a game like this on Xbox One, and as such it’s an easy recommendation.

Fishing: Barents Sea Complete Edition on Xbox One is an ambitious game that does provide some fun should you wish to go about harvesting the sea. But ultimately it is crippled by a dreadful travel mechanic.
