Another Crab’s Treasure Review

Another Crab’s Treasure is an outstanding game.

Glorious Savior Review

The annoyances of Glorious Savior are pretty much balanced by the new mechanics, and as a result this is a very middle of the road game.

Alwa’s Awakening Review

The bottom line is that if you like retro platformers and are looking for your next game, you've found it. If you don't like retro platformers, then I respectfully suggest you try Alwa’s Awakening, as I wouldn't be at all surprised if you changed your mind.

Freediving Hunter: Spearfishing The World Review

Freediving Hunter: Spearfishing the World on Xbox One has a lot going for it, but stumbles with a few issues.

KartRider: Drift – Does Mario and his Kart have anything to worry about?

If you have any interest in fun, kart racing, or even fun kart racing, you should be excited too and Mario may well have to have a glance over his shoulder when this releases for real in 2020.

Niffelheim Review

All in all and Niffelheim on Xbox One is the very definition of a game of two halves. The mining, the crafting and the constructing all work very well, and I've not been happier in this game than when down in the depths of my mine, chiselling away at the rock to see what I can find. Sadly, as good as this side of the game is, the combat is equally poor on the other side of the scale.

Violence, gore, point and click – Looking back to 2014 and Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series

I honestly believe that I am the only man currently alive who has never seen an episode of the TV show, despite having read the series of books multiple times. Despite everyone telling me how great the show is, I just have difficulty in believing that it can be as amazing as the scenes that have played out in my mind. I initially felt the same way about any video games of the series, but seeing that Telltale Games’ 2014 adaptation of the Game of Thrones Universe wasn't based on the books, I decided to dive in and see what was what. And boy, was I glad that I did.

Looking back to 2014 and the character driven comedy of Tales From The Borderlands

So, looking back to 2014, Tales from the Borderlands stands up to the test of time, and is still one of my favourite Telltale experiences to this day.

Story of a Gladiator Review – Not a hint of Russell Crowe

Putting some annoyances with the hit detection to one side, Story of a Gladiator is a game that will keep you playing until you beat it, before seeing you coming back for more to chase those stars.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts Review

It is a little rough around the edges, and there are annoyances, but the core gameplay and the way the sniping is handled makes it a game that I can recommend if you are looking to scratch that sniping itch.

Wizards of Brandel Review

Wizards of Brandel on Xbox One is entertaining enough, and if you haven't played a KEMCO game before then this is as good as any to start with. It’s actually possibly a bit better than most for the KEMCO novice; quite easy on normal difficulty and never too stressful.

Sudden Strike 4: Complete Collection Review – Command & Conquer

With more of the same gameplay, expanded in subtle ways like the early expansions, to game changers like naval warfare in The Pacific War, Sudden Strike 4: Complete Collection remains the premier Real Time Strategy game available for the Xbox One.

5 of the very best gaming NPCs

Having played through The Outer Worlds recently, and having recruited all of the companions it is possible to get, I was reminded once again of how much difference a good non-playable character (NPC) can be to a game. So come with me as I list 5 of the best gaming NPCs of all time - in no particular order, I might add.

Aside Game Pass delights, what were the very best bits announced at X019?

X019 took place in London between November 14th-16th and I was glued to the coverage on Mixer, emitting the odd squeak and generally getting excited with all the games and features that were being revealed. With a very welcome expansion to Xbox Game Pass being the main highlight for me personally, there were still a lot of other things to get excited about. I'd like to present to you here my favourite five things that were shown at X019, not counting the Game Pass bits.

Thanks to X019, Xbox Game Pass is now even more of a no-brainer

Thanks to the X019 event, there are even more reasons for gamers to sign up for this service, and with that in mind I'm going to list my top five reasons why everyone should have an Xbox Game Pass subscription.

Need for Speed Heat is fast, furious, fun, and the best Need for Speed game of recent years.

Zombieland: Double Tap – Roadtrip Review

Zombieland: Double Tap - Roadtrip on Xbox One is a bit of a rollercoaster ride. Shooting zombies and completing the roadtrip is fun, but the annoyances and niggles do spoil things somewhat.
