All in all and Niffelheim on Xbox One is the very definition of a game of two halves. The mining, the crafting and the constructing all work very well, and I've not been happier in this game than when down in the depths of my mine, chiselling away at the rock to see what I can find. Sadly, as good as this side of the game is, the combat is equally poor on the other side of the scale.
I honestly believe that I am the only man currently alive who has never seen an episode of the TV show, despite having read the series of books multiple times. Despite everyone telling me how great the show is, I just have difficulty in believing that it can be as amazing as the scenes that have played out in my mind. Putting some annoyances with the hit detection to one side, Story of a Gladiator is a game that will keep you playing until you beat it, before seeing you coming back for more to chase those stars.
