Travel through a medieval fantasy village inspired by Finnish folklore, and manipulate time to destroy hordes of enemies, all at once. Sound epic enough for you? This is the elevator pitch for Iron Danger on Xbox and PlayStation, as it comes to console for the very first time.
Unique Tactics
Releasing today on Xbox and PlayStation, over three years since its original PC release, Iron Danger from Action Squad Studios and Daedalic Entertainment sees you don the clothes of Kipuna.
She is a resident of Kalevala – a village for humans who rebelled against the gods, and one that is now under attack from the forces of the evil witch queen Lowhee. Despite meeting death once, Kipuna remains alive, due to the power of time-travel. Using a powerful ancient ability, Kipuna will be able to fight against massive beasts and bosses, using time-manipulation to try different combat strategies.
How this translates in gameplay is that you can rewind up to five seconds of gameplay, at any time. A shot go ary, and you want to ensure it lands? Perhaps you just want to see if an enemy is more susceptible to fire, than they are blunt attacks? Being able to rewind time is a powerful, and entertaining, ability. Combat encounters are no longer a case of simply dealing more damage than your enemy, but a puzzle all by themselves.
