DANGEN Entertainment’s paper-style RPG is out right now on Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Taking inspiration from some classic RPGs, most notably the Paper Mario series, Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling is a true throwback.
Bug Fables includes a turn-based combat system that relies on button prompts from the player that’ll enhance damage, meaning battles with always be engaging. Quick reaction times are just as important as strategic thinking here.
Puzzle solving and platforming are all present as well. With a ton of side content and optional bosses, Bug Fables will be a sizeable adventure, despite the heroes minuscule size. Don’t let its presentation trick you, Bug Fables is a meaty RPG with a story that can take well over 30 hours to see through.
