When the aliens attack Earth and turn everyone into zombies, there's only one thing for it - you grab your biggest guns and fight back. Yep, this one is all about the Zombies, Aliens and Guns!
It seems gamers have been clamouring for decent pirate games for a very long time - This was amplified with the likes of the pretty great Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag and the ever-growing Sea of Thieves. With Black Flag successor Skull and Bones seemingly entirely absent, something has to step in. Taking more than a little inspiration from the classic Sid Meier’s Pirates!, King of Seas currently feels just a little underwhelming.
Smash Bros. has got a lot to answer for. Every month a new arena brawler gets chucked onto the pile: some manage to capture the spirit of Smash, others definitely don’t. This month’s pretender to the throne is Guntastic, which takes a more gun-based approach. Don’t switch off just yet, though, as it has a slightly different take, and is loaded with charisma.
Cuisine Royale has had a weird life. Having first come to inception as an April Fool's joke, and then making the most of Xbox Game Preview before launching into the world as a fully fledged title, it's been a game that has attempted to run a different Battle Royale route to the genre leaders. You see, no other game lets you go equipped with pots and pans like Cuisine Royale. Now though things are changing again and with a radical revamp in place, Cuisine Royale will now be known, going forward, as CRSED: F.O.A.D.
We still can't get our heads around the fact that Dying Light is nearly six years old. And what's more, it's a game that is still consistently getting a fresh dab, with multiple DLC packs arriving. Today we see one of the very best zombie games of all-time gain access to further content, both free and paid. What makes it even more exciting is the fact this comes with a bit of a Left 4 Dead crossover. What more could you want in life?
We don’t remember Inception being like this. Darq: Complete Edition puts you into the nervous boots of Lloyd, a young boy, who has found himself trapped under layers of his subconscious dreams. Rather than fight in rotating corridors or admire Tom Hardy’s rugged looks, Lloyd is then tormented by the various horrors that lurk there. Darq: Complete Edition is out now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
When Madden NFl 21 released on Xbox One and PS4 back in August, we all knew that version was just being seen as a warm up to the main event and the next-gen goodness that was just around the corner. Today, it's time to take it to the NXT LVL as the next generation of Madden NFL 21 is here.
If you're after a party starting experience, FUSER most certainly delivers it. With Harmonix at the decks, and the players gasping for more, going forward it looks like this is a game that will be treated to all manner of DLC drops. Following on from last week's triple tune drop we find more tracks readying themselves for play - all alongside the addition of another sweet Venue Pack.
Tennis World Tour 2 is the most comprehensive tennis experience on the market, giving players the chance to play solo, with friends, across a career, through tournaments and with some of the best well-known stars of the game, at some of the most iconic venues. Having first released on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Switch back in September, NACON and Big Ant Studios have today confirmed that the game will be coming to next-gen consoles and have celebrated that fact by dropping a couple of new players onto the court.
With three hit films under his belt, the formerly retired hitman John Wick has also been the star of action-strategy game John Wick Hex on various platforms. Now though, he’s finally ready to debut on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Have you got the killer instinct needed to become the much-feared Baba Yaga?
For years the 1UP mechanic has ensured that when death arrives, your game is not thought to be over. But with Shoot 1UP DX, that same mechanic twists things up a little, letting you bring that life into play immediately - with the chance of seeing up to 30 player ships blasting out destruction all at the same time.
It would be typical of 2020 if Nine Witches: Family Disruption came true. A second dark moon has appeared in the night sky, eclipsing the more traditional moon, causing zombies and mindflaying worms to shamble across the Earth. It feels like the natural culmination to a wonky year.
Bizarrely, Suicide Guy: Sleepin’ Deeply is the second game to launch today with a ‘guy gets stuck in his own dreams and needs to escape’ plot (see Darq: Complete Edition for the other later today). Perhaps the least refined of the two, this is the latest in the Suicide Guy series, and it continues the series’ penchant for weird platform-puzzling.
The KEMCO production line appears to be never ending, with yet another arrival of theirs already upon us following the recently released Crystal Ortha. Of course it’s an RPG, but on this occasion there’s a two-souled protagonist at the heart of the adventure in Ruinverse on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
As an idea, it’s a remarkably simple one. It makes you wonder why it hasn’t been done before (at least, not in a game that’s got Steampunk Tower in the title): what if you made a tower defence game... in a tower? Steampunk Tower 2 is out now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
Ah, for the life of a duck. Casually swimming around a local pond, quacking away to passers-by without a care in the world. Who'd not want to embark on the life of a duck. Well, wish no more because with the launch of Duck Life Adventure on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, you too can live that high life. We're guessing this one ain't quite as serene it seems though.
