The Walking Dead Destinies is on console

We’ve had Telltale’s award-winning narrative, we’ve had expansions of The Escapists and Bridge Constructor and have even been found wandering into Dying Light 2. But now it’s time for another The Walking Dead take as we get to choose our own fate in The Walking Dead: Destinies.

Now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch is The Walking Dead: Destinies. A combination of efforts from the AMC team, with the developers of Flux Games and publishing team of GameMill Entertainment, this one will be coming to PC soon too; 1st Dec if you must know.

A new The Walking Dead experience

The Walking Dead: Destinies promises to allow players the chance to experience the adrenaline-pumping action of AMC’s The Walking Dead. All as they look to change the course of history. For instance, you’ll get to choose between Rick or Shane leading the group. Or will need to decide on how you handle the Governor.

In The Walking Dead: Destinies, choice comes to the fore. It plays as a third-person action-adventure experience, as you begin your journey as Rick Grimes, waking alone in a hospital surrounded by the dead. From there you’ll need to assemble allies and fight your way through the walker apocalypse across iconic locations from The Walking Dead. This include Atlanta, the Greene family farm, the prison, and Woodbury.

But of course, the excitement comes in the crucial choice-driven moments. It’s here where you’ll forever shape the destiny of your team of characters from the series. Heroes and villains, living and dead – it’s up to you to decide whether to stay the course of history or forge your own path through the world of AMC’s The Walking Dead.

Key Features

  • Shatter Fate: Alter the story of AMC’s The Walking Dead by weaving your own path through the series’ events. Save the villain, kill the hero… and live with the consequences.
  • Slash, Bash & Shoot the Undead: Slay hordes of walkers in third-person action with a variety of melee and ranged weapons, including bats, katanas, revolvers, shotguns, and crossbows.
  • Build Your Dream Team: Play as characters from a roster of over twelve iconic characters from AMC’s The Walking Dead, including Rick, Shane, Michonne, Carol, Daryl, and more.
  • Survive the Apocalypse: Manage limited resources, scavenge for weapons and ammo, and maximize your party’s abilities to stay alive.
  • Experience the Tension: Defend your camp, rescue survivors, and fight through stealth and all-out combat. Get one last chance at survival in a “broken state” before the walker threat overwhelms you.

The Walking Dead: Destinies is on the Xbox Store for £39.99. You’ll be able to play on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S. It’s also on PlayStation and Switch, whilst a PC launch is coming in December.
