ConnecTank blasts out onto Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC

Whether you’re looking to head into battle alone, or are ready to squad up with friends through local multiplayer, ConnecTank throws you into a honking great tank and sent out on delivery errands. But as you go you’ll need to find it within yourself to take down other tanks too – and it’s here where ConnecTank switches up things a little.

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC, ConnecTank puts you into the shoes of Finneas Fat Cat, as you help them ensure their tank army is at the fore of the action. To do this you need to work conveyor belts lines, ultimately ending in powering your tanks forward with the ammo you need to fire at unsuspecting enemies. Yep, this is no World of Tanks.

There’s a lot going on in ConnecTank and that is no more true than with the content included. A £24.99 asking price may seem a little high initially, but when you consider there are more than 100 missions to take in, 70 unlockable tanks to enjoy, numerous pieces of ammunition and abilities and a humorous little story playing out in the background, ConnecTank could well have what it takes to draw you in. Throw in the fact that you’re very unlikely to find any two playthroughs rolling out along similar lines, and the whole premise and appeal of ConnecTank rises again.

We’ll have a full review of ConnecTank on Xbox for you in the days ahead, just as soon as we’ve got to grips with the belt action and tactical requirements needed for success to be found.

In the meantime you’ll be able to pick up ConnecTank on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S by heading to the Xbox Store. You’ll find that link right here. It’s also available on PlayStation, Switch and PC.

Game Description:

ConnecTank is an action game for 1 to 4 players where you step inside a big honking tank. Link conveyor belts together, craft ammo, and put out fires as you battle rival tanks to help Finneas Fat Cat deliver packages. Build new tanks and take jobs in a changing world.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
