Cris Tales promises to deliver a gorgeous time-altering RPG to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC and Google Stadia this November, as the team at Modus Games reveal plans for Xbox Series X and PS5 launch too.

Coming from Modus Games, Dreams Uncorporated and SYCK, Cris Tales is a beautiful turn-based indie love letter to classic JRPGs, and it’ll be launching on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC and Google Stadia come November 17th 2020. And then further to that, you can expect to see an Xbox Series X and PS5 launch too.

Additionally, the game’s free demo on Steam and GOG is now updated with new enemies and a never-before-seen Colosseum battle mode.

Today’s news arrived with a stunning cinematic unveiled during the PC Gaming Show, revealing protagonist Crisbell’s fight to prevent her homeland’s fiery demise at the hands of a menacing Empress. Aided by her powerful party members and dapper amphibian guide, Crisbell stands as the world of Crystallis’ lone hope for a bright future.

Cris Tales is a classically inspired RPG where past, present and future are brought together on one screen. Players can use Crisbell’s amazing ability to slip between eras, aiding citizens across Crystallis’ kingdoms and pushing enemies to points in time for an upper hand in battle. Cris Tales’ hand-drawn, Colombian-inspired world is a charming pairing of fantasy, with tributes to real-world architecture and landmarks, making every step of this enthralling journey a delight to explore.

The newly updated demo on Steam and GOG introduces a new, mini Colosseum experience! Willhelm joins the party for eight progressively harder battles where players will face new foes and test their mettle in a mini-boss fight! This Colosseum mode gives a glimpse of the Colosseum experience that will be available in the full game.

Get a peek at Cris Tales’ vividly realized and colourful universe by checking out the trailer below. And then hold tight for that November launch. It’ll be here before you know it.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
