Danger Gazers is on Xbox!

Another day, another roguelite: the genre seems to be infesting our game libraries, but our one-more-go addictions just have to be satiated time and time again. Now it is the turn of Danger Gazers to be added to our shelves.

Releasing today on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, following prior releases on Switch and PC, Danger Gazers from ShotX Studio is a roguelite top-down shooter, that immediately calls back memories of Enter the Gungeon. Perhaps Danger Gazers is even further on the wacky side, however, as this apocalypse seems to have turned everyone crazy, from the shop vendor you’ll be visiting between runs, to the swathes of bizarre enemies that you will be blasting down.

If you aren’t familiar with how the roguelite genre operates – firstly, have you heard of a video game?! – the core loop of Danger Gazers is simple: each run will see you fight through a constant plethora of enemies, utilising a variety of weapons and other loot to see just how far you can make it, before inevitable death.

Death is not final, however, as between runs you can unlock relics which act as permanent perks to your character, hopefully making you incrementally more powerful in subsequent runs. Throw in the fact that there’s seven unique heroes to play as, and the replayability of Danger Gazers is certainly strong.

And what’s more, you can enjoy all of the fun of Danger Gazers with a friend, in two-player co-op mode. Double the action!

A full list of features in Danger Gazers, according to the game’s Steam page, includes:

  • Pave your own path: you will have to choose your next stop wisely if you don’t want your journey to turn into hell
  • Maximum randomization: area maps, levels, events, loot, they are all randomly generated to make every playthrough different
  • Local co-op: double the fun with a friend
  • Relics & rewards: permanent unlockables to further customize your play style
  • 7 heroes: all with their own unique abilities, powers and weaknesses
  • and MUCH MORE!

So, if it’s guns, explosions and chaos you are looking for in your next game, then Danger Gazers will suit your desires. You can pick up a copy today on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC or Switch. The game is available from the Xbox Store for £8.39.

Game Description:

Danger Gazers is a post-apocalyptic roguelite top-down shooter where you pave your own path. The choices you make will decide your fate, it will either turn you into the new ruler or… the ashes to be windswept away. Unlock new heroes and relics as you try to conquer the wasteland, master the skills, decisions and patience. Luck is not on your side. It’s all about replayability and maximum randomization. Procedurally generated levels? Check. Random map generation? Check. Random events? Check. Tons of guns and items? Double check! Join forces and play together with your friend in co-op mode. Share the fun, share the misery!

I'm an avid gamer who will play pretty much anything... but stick an open world or adventure game in front of me and I'm more than happy.
