Drift, leap and flip through Crazy Gravity on Xbox, Switch and PlayStation

There’s something joyful about eastasiasoft games and the way they come to market. For the most part they deliver cheap gaming opportunities, with low cash values attached, but in return gamers can occasionally get treated to something pretty joyful. That’s the case today as we get the chance to drift, leap and flip our way through some Crazy Gravity.

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (fully optimised), PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch, Crazy Gravity certainly nails the cheap asking price angle. You see, this one comes to market with a mere £4.19 price tag attached (and that in itself is discounted for the first few weeks from launch).

Open the wallet and delve into what eastasiasoft are allowing and we’re pretty sure Crazy Gravity has what it takes to be a little indie hit. Obviously our full review of the game will follow this piece and we’ll be sure to let you know exactly how it plays out, but ultimately there’s the chance here to blast off to worlds unknown, working through side scrolling stages and perfecting some platforming as you take charge of a little astronaut LOST IN SPAAAAACE.

Gravity is the key mechanic at play, but as the name suggests, this is crazy gravity. You see, whilst it works in the normal way, it does seem to be attached to the orientation of your little dude. Flip them over and you have full control over which way is down. By utilising this, and hitting up switches, platforms and avoiding hazards, you’ll be able to take in the 30 odd hand-drawn stages with ease.

The key features you need to worry about include:

  • Explore dozens of unique stages set in outer space!
  • Flip upside-down to reverse gravity and navigate platforming challenges.
  • Collect resources needed to power your ship.
  • Enjoy a colorful and cartoonish hand-drawn art style.
  • Relax with a soothing soundtrack to help keep your cool!

So, sold? Get over to the digital store of your choice to grab Crazy Gravity. The Xbox Store will sort out Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S players (remember, this one is all next-gen’d up), but you’ll also find it on PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch.

Game Description:

Drift, leap and flip through brain-teasing interstellar puzzle stages in retro platforming style! Blast off for out-of-this world platforming antics in Crazy Gravity, a side-scrolling action game where gravity can be your worst enemy or your greatest ally! Take the role of a little astronaut lost in space. Your primary objective is to energize your rocket and return home, but to do that, you’ll need to make your way through brain-teasing obstacles and collect the necessary resources. Gravity always pulls slowly downward, but by flipping, the little astronaut can control which way id down! Use gravity reversal to navigate platforms and avoid hazards, reach power switches or keep yourself suspended mid-leap. It’s a challenging experience that will make you think dynamically, a tough yet accessible journey for all ages spanning 30 cosmic hand-drawn levels!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
