If you’re looking for a new racing fix but are tired of the usual super fast hypercars or that which F1 brings, then BIGBEN and N-Racing have got you sorted with the release of FIA European Truck Racing Championship.

The official racing simulation of the ETRC, developed by KT Engine, has now rolled its hefty weight onto Xbox One, PS4 and PC, with a Nintendo Switch launch arriving come August 5th 2019. Available right this second in the physical world, with a digital release coming a day later on the 19th July (at least here in the UK), this is one racer that will most certainly provide a different test of your skills.

Edit: FIA European Truck Racing Championship Day One Edition is now available from the Xbox Store. It’ll set you back £39.99.

Covering the biggest racing series in the world, the ETRC brings 20 official teams to the party. The likes of IVECO and Mercedes-Benz come together on the track, and the game will be found providing a simulation of what is possible in this land of monster racing. No less than 7 faithfully recreated tracks can be raced too, with the gameplay covering 5 single player and 5 multiplayer modes that allow for split-screen capabilities.

Everything in FIA European Truck Racing Championship has been designed to guarantee that all the thrills of these spectacular races are delivered to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC players, with dynamic weather, different physics and inertia for each vehicle, and manual management of brakes and water cooling all in place. In fact, if it happens in the real-world of truck racing, then it happens here with the video game version of the ETRC – everything has been included to ensure players experience the ultimate challenge.

Key features include:

  • 45 race trucks from top manufacturers, including Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner, Western Star and many others.
  • 7 faithfully recreated circuits of the ETRC, as well as 6 iconic circuits such as Laguna Seca, the COTA and Fuji Speedway.
  • 20 official teams and championship drivers are included in the game.
  • 5 single-player and 5 multiplayer modes including local split-screen.

Our full review is in the works and will be with you in the days ahead, but for now if you wish to get involved in the bashing and crashing that racing trucks around a circuit will bring, then head to your local gaming store right now. If you would prefer to run digital then the Xbox Store, the PlayStation Store, the Nintendo eShop or the usual PC offerings wil sort you out when you feel the time is right.

Let us know in the comments if you’ll be climbing into the cab and competing for top spot.
