A few weeks back we brought you news of an upcoming faction that was set to arrive in Crossout, and now they have finally arrived in person. As of update 0.9.0 for Crossout, players can now get stuck in with a ton of new parts, features and plenty of firepower.
Of course, the most exciting addition are the Firestarter’s themselves. This faction is the seventh to arrive in the game and players who ally with this group of fire-worshipping madmen will receive new vehicle parts that can aid in turning any battleground to scorched field of death in seconds. With Incendiary bombs, a kamikaze cabin, and some meat grinder turned wheels available amongst the new parts, there are plenty of reasons to join the new danger on the battlefield.
Another exciting arrival that comes as part of update 0.9.0 is the Incinerator. This crude catapult launches gasoline-filled projectiles into battle to set the place ablaze. One of the other new and exciting features is the Fortune launcher that fires flame filled burning wheels at enemies – in rows of three before exploding on contact with the unfortunate target. Finally, in terms of new weaponry, players will have access to the new Draco flamethrower. This weapon deals direct damage to players, leaving enemy vehicles red hot and smouldering and opening them up to receiving double damage from any type of weapon.
Away from the new weapons and the Firestarters also hold a vast amount of impressive machinery, with one such contraption known as the Meat Grinder. This giant pair of blades is used with a vehicle chassis, like a pair of wheels, allowing Firestarters to move in any direction at the same speed, even via sideways strafing. What’s more is that the Meat Grinder causes heavy damage on contact and when combined with the Harpoon gun allows players to attach to another vehicle, making for the perfect combination to tear your target to shreds. Alternatively, it can also be used to pull team mates out of a sticky situation.
The final machine-based arrival Is the new Werewolf Cabin. With this, players can claw back revenge on aggressors as it houses a small drone that comes packed with explosives that can be triggered for up to 10 seconds after the destruction of the player vehicle, making it perfect for a kamikaze attack late in battle.
The other changes that can be found within the latest Crossout update include an increase in maximum battle time in PVP matches from 3 minutes to 5 minutes for players that have reached level 10. Additionally, in battle, capturing objectives will now take 50% longer, allowing players to utilise and execute a range of new tactics based on their vehicles capabilities rather than rushing in to defend.
So, there we have it, everything you can expect to find in Crossout update 0.9.0. Will you be testing out the new faction in the vehicle-based action MMO adventure? Let us know in the comments below or via our usual social channels.
