You are left for dead on the wet sand of the cursed continent of Wraeclast, having been exiled from the island of Oriath. Evil awaits you and all manner of the shambling dead will be ready to battle you in this unforgiving world, encountering many bosses along the way. With ten acts worth of story to get through, countless character skills to choose from and almost endless replayability due to randomly generated areas, it’s certainly not short on content.
We recently played the Beta and there’s no doubt it could easily be a challenger to the current king of dungeon crawling, Diablo 3 – and seeing as Path of Exile: The Fall of Oriath is free, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t att least give it a try. If you’re really into it, then there’s a paid version available too – First Blood Bundle – which includes 200 points, the First Blood Weapon Effect and an Extra Stash Tab. That’ll cost you £15.99, but don’t worry that you’ll be at a major disadvantage by sticking with the free version because it’s by no means a pay-to-win situation.
