Getting ready to take to the Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia starting grids from October is Codemasters’ latest racer – the rebooted GRID. And today comes news that attendees of Gamescom in Germany will be able to get hands-on with the game for the very first time.
We are big fans of Codemasters and what they are doing with the rebooted GRID, and after taking in our own time with the game a few weeks ago, Codies are now pushing things out to the general public. And this means that the long awaited return of the much loved racing franchise will be playable by all attending Gamescom from the 20th-24th August 2019.
Featuring on the Deep Silver & Friends stand in Hall 9 and the Microsoft Xbox booth in Hall 8, GRID will let players experience high-speed racing like no other, as they compete against AI drivers with 400 different race personalities, establish rivals and battle nemeses. When the full game rolls around to release on Xbox One, PS4, PC on October 1th, with a Google Stadia release come November, you’ll also get the chance to create your own motorsport stories whilst pushing the most iconic cars to their limits.
“The team have been amazed by the love and the positive reception GRID has received since its announcement in May” said Chris Smith, GRID Game Director at Codemasters. “We are so excited to bring our vision for dynamic motorsport racing to the gamescom community. I truly look forward to seeing all the players having fun with GRID and creating their own racing stories, I hope to see you there. “
