If you’ve been wondering how the enjoyment levels of the Rollcage inspired offering can reach new heights, wonder no more, because Wired Productions and Caged Element have just released a GRIP: Combat Racing free update that introduces AirBlades. So get ready to wipe-out the competition in these new game-changing vehicles!
The exhilarating racer GRIP: Combat Racing may not have taken off initially, but with the brilliantly titled ‘Big Ass Update’ already in place, another free update in the form of AirBlades can only improve the experience on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The arrival of the ‘AirBlades’ sees two classic racing genres unite as the anti-grav vehicles, powered by an Element 115 anti-grav engine, face off against the wheel-based mechanical monsters called Rollers – that launched with GRIP: Combat Racing. Both classes have the ability to flip on any side and decide their own path, undefined by the laws of gravity.
The AirBlades are available on all of the original race tracks that have been present in GRIP: Combat Racing since day one, plus all of the brand new levels, set in outer space, that arrive courtesy of this update. The inclusion of this latest update, which is completely free to all players, clearly adds a robust new set of features that are sure to thrill fans and adrenaline junkies alike.
“I’m pretty sure if WipeOut and Rollcage hooked up, this is the baby they’d pop out.” said Leo Zullo, Managing Director of Wired Productions. “It’s beyond exciting to finally be able to reveal AirBlades, as we see it as a true game-changer and industry first. GRIP: Combat Racing is a fantastic game and, thanks to the mighty talented team at Caged Element with their visionary idea and commitment, gamers are now able to experience an even more truly amazing and unique experience that helps to redefine the racing genre.”
The AirBlades free update is available right now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, so if you haven’t yet checked out GRIP: Combat Racing yet then maybe it’s the best time to do so; especially if you’re an Xbox game as you’ll find the game available as part of the awesome Xbox Game Pass service. Unfortunately, those of you on Nintendo Switch will have to wait until later in May to get your hands on the update.
GRIP: Combat Racing is now essentially two games in one, giving you even more choice of how and where you drive… so what are you waiting for!?
