Heading to the Pier of the Unknown?

If it’s thrilling turn-based monster battles you are after, Cassette Beasts on Game Pass, Xbox, Switch and PC will be able to deliver it. And now the first major DLC drop for the game has arrived. Are you ready to head to the Pier of the Unknown?

Cassette Beasts: Pier of the Unknown docks on Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC to help build out the base game that first launched into Game Pass back in April.

A whole new storyline

Priced at £5.79, Pier of the Unknown delivers a brand new storyline, a new location to uncover and no less than twelve additional monsters to collect. The latter ups the overall number of monsters available in Cassette Beasts right up to 141. And that means there are near on 20,000 imagined fusions available.

Should you be willing to take on the new challenge then you’ll want to steel your nerves as you head to Brightside Pier. This long-forgotten location has been reclaimed by nature, and it’s in there where a whole new story awaits. Focus is on the mysteries of three carnival-themed attractions, with a host of hidden wonders found inside.

New features of Cassette Beasts: Pier of the Unknown

The key features of Cassette Beasts: Pier of the Unknown include…

  • A new storyline to unravel
  • A spooky new location with three carnival-themed attractions to uncover and explore
  • 12 new monsters that can only be found and collected within Brightside Pier, bringing the total number of monsters in game to 141
  • Five new character costume options
  • Approximately 4-10 hours of additional gameplay

Up for another ten hours of Cassette Beasts? Been enjoying the Catacombs update that released for free earlier in the summer? We’re pretty sure that Pier of the Unknown will be an appealing prospect.

Grab the download you need from the usual digital stores. The Xbox Store will sort you out on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Just remember you’ll need the base game – available on Game Pass – in your digital library.

You’ll also find the game and new content on Switch and PC.

And don’t forget, eight-player online multiplayer is in development for Cassette Beasts too.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
