Had enough of Roguelike games? Just want something different? Well, tough, because the Has-Been Heroes are here and they’re embracing everything Roguelike!
If you’re in North America, then Has-Been Heroes is available to purchase right now on Xbox One. In an ideal world, that would also be the case if you are situated in other regions too, but a last minute delay has seen the Heroes need to take a back seat for another week before releasing in the UK and Europe. Don’t worry though, we’ll remind you when that time comes.
But onto the game and Has-Been Heroes threatens to take you on an epic journey, one in which your motley group of has-beens head off in order to escort the twin princesses to school! With many monsters in the way, you’ll need to utilise the power of magic as you combine spells to create devastating effects, and with three characters available at once, you can expect to see those attacks hitting with some force.
And those attacks will take hold via a combination of both turn based and RTS mechanics with gameplay that will become as complex as you allow it. With hundreds of game changing items and spells, tons of powers to check out, 13 regions and 12 playable heroes, each and every run you make with the Has-Been Heroes will be utterly unique – and hopefully utterly engaging too.

- Unlock and collect hundreds of game-changing items and spells, boosting the heroes’ powers and making each run unique! 300+ spells, 200+ items, 13 regions, and 12 playable heroes!
- In rogue-like fashion, die and try again! Each run is different due to randomized maps, spells, items, and enemies. With each level the length of gameplay increases, compounded by the peril of instant death, which forces the player to start over from the beginning.
