The Wild Eight sees you play out proceedings as one of eight survivors of a mysterious plane crash. And you know what that means? You must survive, by any means possible.

The Wild Eight is available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, after seeing previous release on PC and PS4 thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign. Now though HypeTrain Digital are looking for Xbox gamers to explore the Alaskan wilderness.

Priced at £16.74, The Wild Eight gets its name from the eight plane crash survivors which the tale focuses on. Alone in the depths of Alaska, it is up to you to attempt to make reason behind the mystery that has caused the crash, all without the harsh landscape around you from taking its toll.

This will mean you’ll be found exploring the wolds, grabbing as many resources as you can before crafting them into useful items. With your camp site the only safe place from the battering of blizzards – and the most deadly of beasts – what you loot, and what you craft could well be the different between success and failure; life or death. Sounds a bit like Project Winter, eh!

If you think you have what it takes to survive this world, uncovering the truth as you go, then head to the Xbox Store and nail that download of The Wild Eight right now. The asking price just about brings a form of temptation, but if you’re sat on the fence, wondering if this is for you, keep an eye out for our full review of The Wild Eight on Xbox soon.

You’ll also find the game out on live on PS4 and PC through Steam.

Game Description:

The mysterious plane crash was only the beginning. Eight survivors are stranded in the middle of an unforgiving frozen wilderness of Alaska. Don’t let it consume you. Find out the truth. Survive and live to tell the tale of The Wild Eight. In The Wild Eight, always be on the move — it is your only way to survive and find out what happened with this mysterious place.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
