Kill ’em all as Q-YO Blaster comes to Xbox

Sold as a shooter in which you’ll get to utilise a variety of weapons, special powers and more, Q-YO Blaster from the Team Robot Black Hat and Forever Entertainment teams may not be the game to change your life, but it could well be the one to help you blast away an hour or two of stress.

There are times when all you need in life is a controller and the chance to kick back with a game that will let you blast anything and everything that moves. We reckon that is Q-YO Blaster to a tee – a SHMUP affair that will let you make your way through some detailed 2D pixeled environments, caring about nothing but that which you can blast.

Priced at £8.39 and available to play on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Q-YO Blaster comes with 10 stages, a number of classes and characters, a ton of weapons, a host of perks, many special powers and even more enemies and bosses to take on. The fact that it throws in an Arcade mode for good measure, along with a fan-favourite CRT mode is neither here nor there, but it does anyways.

In all, it certainly seems to play on what is required of a fun little shooter – hell, even the name hints at what is to come.

We’ll find out how it all plays in our full review of Q-YO Blaster on Xbox in the days ahead. But if you’re sold, and just need something to scratch a blasting itch, there’s a chance that Q-YO Blaster could well fix it – you’ll find the download you require from the Xbox Store. Let us know what you think by posting in the comments.

Game Description:

Is a horizontal Shoot ‘Em Up, with peculiar characters, strange enemies, bullets, many bullets, and many explosions. Enter the miniature world and stop the threat. Enjoy the rudeness with weapons, special powers, and help from mystical beings. Q-YO Blaster has a nice 2d environment with detailed pixel art scenarios, varied enemies section, stages, powers, improvements, and many more!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
