Lords of the Fallen is on Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC

The best part of a decade on from the launch of the original Lords of the Fallen comes a new Lords of the Fallen. Seeing as we absolutely loved the game from 2014, hopes are high that the 2023 edition provides the epic quests and adventuring we long for.

Available right now for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC is Lords of the Fallen (2023). From HEXWORKS – a CI Games Studio – it’s ditched the initial idea of running as THE Lords of the Fallen, as the teams behind it go with what they know. Perhaps it confuses things a little, but we’ll let it slide.

A vast world

Lords of the Fallen on Xbox, PlayStation and PC thrusts you into a vast world, one in which you – as one of the fabled Dark Crusaders – look to battle through both the living and the dead. Working as an RPG adventure, in Lords of the Fallen you’ll find yourself up against some of the most challenging of foes, taking in some super immersive narratives as you go.

The quest to become legend awaits in Lords of the Fallen on Xbox, PlayStation and PC. As does fluid combat, tons of customisation and the chance to play with others. Yep, this 2023 version of Lords of the Fallen isn’t just a solo affair. You’ll be able to make the most of a friend for when times get tough. Of course, that does mean that others from the online world can make themselves known in your game.

Key features

  • Explore A Vast, Interconnected World – Journey across two expansive, parallel worlds in your epic quest to overthrow Adyr. While the living realm presents its own brutal challenges, untold terrors lurk in the nightmarish realm of the dead.
  • Define Your Own Legend – Fully customise your character’s appearance from a wide array of visual options, before selecting one of nine character classes. Whichever starting path you take, develop your character to your own playstyle by upgrading stats, weapons, armour and spells.
  • Master Fast, Challenging Fluid Tactical Combat – Only those that master the deep, tactical combat can hope to survive. Choose from 100s of uniquely brutal weapons, or forgo metal for magic with devastating attacks of the arcane.
  • Unite or Fight in Online Multiplayer – Experience the expansive, single player campaign alone, or invite a second player to join your adventure in uninterrupted, online co-op. But be warned – heroes from other realms can, and will invade.
  • Wield a Device of Ungodly Power – Your lantern possesses the ungodly power to cross between worlds. Use this dark art to reach forgotten places, unearth fabled treasures, and even manipulate the very soul of your foe.
  • Rise from Death – Fall in the world of the living, and rise again… in the world of the dead. You now have one final chance to return to your living state, as all manner of hellish creature descends upon you.

Purchase and play now!

An experience in which you will be left to dare to hope, Lords of the Fallen is on the Xbox Store right now. It comes with a £59.99 price tag, playable on Xbox Series X|S only. This is not a game that can be played on Xbox One.

Alternatively there is the Lords of the Fallen Deluxe Edition. Ramping the price to £69.99 it adds in a Dark Crusader Starting Class (otherwise £6.99) and the Legendary Pack (£12.99). You’ll get access to the digital soundtrack, a 3D model viewer and digital artbook too.

Of course, Lords of the Fallen is also available on PlayStation 5 and PC.

Our review is coming. We’ll let you know how Lords of the Fallen plays on Xbox Series X|S.
