When you see a game come along with a title such as ‘Mr. Shifty’ you can probably guess at what you are in for – yep, it’s time to get sneaking over to your Xbox One and preparing to teleport and infiltrate over 75 levels of heists, bosses, rescue missions and good ol’ fashioned brawls.
To control the elusive Mr. Shifty through a top-down view, you are going to have to have your wits about you, deploying traps, triggering friendly fire amongst the guards, using the environment to take down enemies, and moving in slow motion to dodge incoming fire.
But Mr. Shifty isn’t any old guy with ninja-like reflexes, he also has the ability to teleport through walls and dodge bullets in a flash. If you use your abilities correctly, then the enemies will have no chance! When you are sneaking stealthily and then jumping into action, expect Mr Shifty to be fast paced and chaotic – almost Hotline Miami like – but inspired by Hong Kong action cinema from the ‘90s.
