Neo-retro adventure Pankapu arrives on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC

-

Platformers are making a comeback right now, and the latest 90’s inspired offering looks to tell a story on two levels – dream-based and reality. Will you discover tragic reality behind the vibrant world of Pankapu?

Pankapu follows a troubled child, plagued by a tragic incident, goes on an epic and naive journey inside a dream world. The child in question, Djaha’rell, must transform between three Aegis – Warrior, Archer and Mage – whenever necessary, in order to avoid traps and defeat enemies in this colourful action platformer. Awaiting Djaha’rell is the Prince of Nightmares, Gangreyn, and defeating him is the only way to fulfil this child’s destiny. In doing so, you’ll uncover the fable of Pankapu and the real-world tragic life of Djaha’rell.

Those looking to recapture the magic of 90’s platformers can do so in Pankapu on the Xbox One by heading over to the Xbox Games Store and relinquishing a cash amount of £9.59. Gamers on the PlayStation 4 and PC will need to venture to their own respective stores to pick it up.

Game Description:

Jump into a neo-retro adventure with Pankapu : a taste of 90’s platformers in an oneiric world. Pankapu is a narrative action-platformer that takes place in the dreams of Djaha’rell, a child troubled by a tragic incident. Upgrade your skills, find new competencies, switch your Aegis in real time in order to get rid of Nightmare’s invasion: “Fight for the safety of your land, dear Dreamkeeper” Told in the manner of a fable read to a child, the game has two levels of reading: the tale of Pankapu, epic and naïve, and the one about Djaha’rell’s life, in the real-world, dark and tragic.
