Twin-stick your way through NeverAwake

Sometimes, all we want to do is get properly stuck into a good twin-stick shooter. There’s nothing better than frantically dodging bullets, returning our own, all in the pursuit of a new high score. Hopefully NeverAwake on Xbox, with its intricate systems, can be the next one on our lists.

Fight Your Nightmares

In NeverAwake on Xbox, following prior launches onto PlayStation, Switch and PC, you play as a little girl, Rem. Rem is suffering through a bout of nightmares.

Entering her mind, and we can see that she is scared of all the classic things – dentists, vegetables, and so on. These will form the monstrosities that you must defeat in each of the 80+ levels NeverAwake has to offer. At the end, depending on how you play, the ending will differ. Will Rem overcome her fears; will she even wake up?

There are a plethora of weapons and other items that you will use to dodge incoming attacks, and lay down your own in return. The colourful nightmarescapes of NeverAwake will be lit up with explosive attacks at every opportunity. The game also offers a number of different ways to combine your weapons, allowing you to master a certain build.

Key Features

  • Kick the veggies, dentists, and other monsters out of the way and blow away the painful memories of your childhood!

I'm an avid gamer who will play pretty much anything... but stick an open world or adventure game in front of me and I'm more than happy.
