There’s no better time to pull out the party games than at Christmas, and this year people can gather round for a go at the frantic Jump Stars.

Jump Stars is a pure multiplayer game that wants players to work hard not only to help the whole party, but also to ensure that they emerge as the leader of the pack. There is a selection of unique mini-games on offer, overseen by a rather ominous host, whom can reward you for being successful, or throw a spanner into the mix for his own selfish ratings boost.

These mini-games may consist of: Cool Aid, where competitors have to stand on snow spots, in order to keep cool in a stage that’s actually on fire. Tailspin focuses on rhythmic harmony as you and your team need to jump over a giant rotating arm in unison – fail, and it could be fatal. For the food lovers amongst you, Hungers Pain might be more suitable because it’ll have contestants dashing across a level, showing off their platforming skills and eating pies aplenty.

Game features:

  • 2 to 4 single-screen multiplayer gameplay
  • 10 unique mini games to master
  • Over 20 characters to choose from
  • Co-operate with strangers to become friends
  • Compete with friends and become strangers
  • Unreal Engine 4-powered visuals

Jump Stars is set to be published by Curve Digital this December for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Those lucky enough to be attending EGX 2016 can get their hands on the game over at the Rezzed section.

Been gaming casually since the SNES as a youngster but found my true passion for games on the Playstation 1 (the forbidden word ooo). My addiction grew to its pinnacle with the purchase of an Xbox 360 & Xbox Live Service. A recovering GS hunter that will still play literally any game.
