Survival horror, eh? Love it or hate it, there’s no getting away from the fact that it plays a big role in the gaming scene. Project Nightmares Case 36: Henrietta Kedward comes to Xbox and PlayStation attempting to be the next big thing in the genre – it’s going to chill you to the bone as it does so.

Available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (optimised), PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Project Nightmares Case 36: Henrietta Kedward breaks free from previous confines of the PC world to deliver a new survival horror experience to console.

Sold as a living nightmare with ever-changing survival horror elements and bone-chilling visuals, if you’re a fan of the genre, we’re not sure Project Nightmares Case 36: Henrietta Kedward could do much more to get your interest. Previous Steam reviews that sit around the ‘Mostly Positive’ area seem to back that up.

Project Nightmares Case 36: Henrietta Kedward comes from the NC Studio and Feardemic teams as they look to immerse you into a world that focuses on a group of scientists who have decided that the best way to get through life is to study the paranormal. In order to do this they’ve created a new device, one that allows them to go about inducing telepathically-gifted patients into a dream state, before connecting their minds to a cursed or malignant object. From there they get the chance to investigate their history and put a stop to the evil they embody.

The thing is, you are one of those patients.

As you may guess from the name, Project Nightmares Case 36: Henrietta Kedward has you playing through the mind of Henrietta Kedward. It’s up to you to investigate this woman’s life, working out why she has been taken by terror and mystery.

If you thought that Project Nightmares Case 36: Henrietta Kedward would be a straightforward affair though, you’d be wrong. This is a constantly changing game, one that utilises procedurally generated elements to ensure that, even with multiple playthroughs to hand, things are different each and every time.

That may be enough to sell a purchase and download of Project Nightmares Case 36: Henrietta Kedward on Xbox or PlayStation, but we’d hazard a guess and say that the key features will help…

  • Can’t run from the past – explore the dark memories of a twisted old woman.
  • Dream logic – procedurally generated elements will keep you on your toes even on multiple playthroughs.
  • Handle the candle – explore beautifully frightening, dark levels, basked only in candlelight.
  • Face the music – let the amazing sound design immerse you in the nightmare.
  • Use your head – crack the complex puzzles and investigate the past of Henrietta Kedward.

An asking price of £16.74 from the Xbox Store will allow access to the madness of Project Nightmares Case 36: Henrietta Kedward, playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It’s also on PlayStation and PC through Steam.

Keep an eye out for a review from us very soon.

Game Description:

Get thrown into a living nightmare and explore the past of Henrietta Kedward in this terrifying and ever-changing survival horror filled with bone-chilling visuals. Project Nightmares is a group of scientists who dedicated themselves to studying the paranormal. As the regular means of analysis proved too limited to properly investigate the nature of these extra-natural phenomena, they devised a new means of examination. Using a device of their design, they are able to induce telepathically-gifted patients into a dream state, and connect their minds to a cursed or malignant object, allowing them to investigate their history and put a stop to the evil they embody. You are one of those patients. In the first installment of the game, you will play through the case of Henrietta Kedward. You’ll be able to connect with this malicious old woman through a malignant toy with a dark past and soon you’ll find yourself in a nightmare set during her lifetime, surrounded by terror and mystery. When inside the nightmare, you’ll never know what’s going to happen next, even on multiple playthroughs as the game constantly shifts, taking advantage of its procedurally generated elements.
