Broken Roads finally comes to Xbox, PlayStation and PC

We first heard about the opportunity to forge a path in Broken Roads back in mid-2023. After an initial launch planned for later that year was scrapped, we’ve been left waiting. Until now. Yep, Broken Roads releases on Xbox, PC and PlayStation.

Heading down the Broken Roads?

Available today to purchase, download and play is Broken Roads. Put together by the creative minds of Drop Bear Bytes, published by Versus Evil, this is a game that has been inspired by the role-player from yesteryear. Full of intriguing narrative, it thrusts you into a desolate Australian world, left to survive the post-apocalyptic lands.

Running a price of £33.49, with a little launch discount in place if you are quick, Broken Roads will see you attempting to navigate across a barren landscape, gang in tow, turn-based tactical combat at the fore. It’s here where various philosophies, moralities and more emerge, as you look to blend ideas, abilities and skills.

Broken Roads Xbox Description

Born of a love for traditional computer role-playing, Broken Roads provides a rich, engaging narrative in which players make their way across a desolated future Australia. Blending together traditional and all-new role-playing elements on top of a classless system offering nearly unlimited character development options, Broken Roads presents players with an original morality system: the Moral Compass. This novel design sees dialogue options and questing decisions influence, and be influenced by, a character’s philosophical leaning.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
