Turbo Golf Racing launches in full on Game Pass, Xbox, PlayStation, PC

It didn’t take us long to fall for the charm of Turbo Golf Racing when it first launched into Early Access back in 2022 – it was easy to witness the staggering potential the game had. Now, finally, we get to experience that potential for real, as Turbo Golf Racing breaks out of that preview period to land on Game Pass, Xbox and PC for real.

A hybrid of a golf game and Rocket League, Hugecalf Studios’ Turbo Golf Racing is a bit of a delight. And now, after some 11 updates during a Game Preview and Early Access slot, comes the full launch, with a Version 1.0 hitting Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

Playable across Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC, Turbo Golf Racing will stick you in charge of a little car, chucked onto a golf course and left to try and punt a ball into the hole. Sounds straightforward, eh? Well it is, once you understand the mechanics involved, the quirks of the course and the skill required.

Now available as a full release

On Game Pass (both Xbox and PC), in Turbo Golf Racing you’ll be left to go up against 7 opponents in Race mode, or allowed to show your skills in Golf mode; a place where the fewest shots triumph. There are also Custom games too, Time Trials and more.

With various environments to enjoy, from the urban to the wild to the industrial, this is about as close to a golf game as you are going to get without it being a ‘golf game‘. Think of it like a spiritual cousin to Rocket League, as you dash and smash your way to victory, and you’ll be on the right track.

As Turbo Golf Racing goes into V1.0, the latest update brings much pleasure. It’s focused on Season 4: Launch Party, as 40 new rewards drop in for players, including a couple of new bodies – Jester and Bassline – as well as ten all-new levels. It should mean this is the best version of Turbo Golf Racing yet – and when you consider we’ve been loving what has been on offer for the best part of two years already, that’s some going.

Turbo Golf Racing breaks out of Game Preview and Early Access to launch in full today. Hit up the Xbox Store to gain access on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S or Game Pass. There are a couple of other bundles which you may wish to consider too.

It should also be on PlayStation and PC.

You can be sure that we’ll drop our full Turbo Golf Racing review thoughts very soon. We’d suspect this will be one you’ll want to play though.

Turbo Golf Racing Description

Take on up to seven other competitors in a Grand-Prix style competition. Boost, dash and glide to be the first to get your ball into the hole. Hit the boost pads to charge past your rivals, take shortcuts to outwit them and utilise pick ups to stop them in their tracks.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
