It’s been years since we’ve had the chance to join the Toy Soldiers, but today it’s time to consider re-enlisting as the enhanced, content-rich, much improved Toy Soldiers HD march out onto Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
A game which first released on the Xbox Live Arcade back in the Xbox 360 days, Toy Soldiers now gets hits with an HD remake, one which will give players the opportunity to take charge of a set of miniature Toy Soldiers, taking them into battle.
Available right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC through Steam and PS4 (along with play on PS5), Toy Soldiers HD pushed forth with strategic play as WW1 era toys come to life, ready and willing to put themselves on the line in the name of success.
Also due to launch on Nintendo Switch (a version which has been pushed back some more), Toy Soldiers HD will allow players to take in a whole diorama of the finest military action, as you take to warzones spread across bedrooms, a library, the lounge and more.
It’ll be up to you to build your defences before knocking down that of your enemy, as you take charge of toy army soldiers, tanks, planes, mortars and more. But you can also help out some more and in times of need will find yourself popping in and out of the battlefield in both third-person and first-person views. It’s here where you’ll be able to repair defenses, upgrade plans, and wage all-out war on those who stand in front of you.
But what exactly does the HD version of Toy Soldiers bring? Well, expect to be treated to new, never-before-seen content, enhanced visuals, an improved camera and better audio. It’s neat that all previously released DLC is included.
