Originally known as Project Totem, Kalimba will be making it’s way to Xbox One…and the release date has now been confirmed.

It must be said, we’re big fans of Press Play after their first foray onto Xbox One with Max: The Curse of Brotherhood last December and so when we first heard about Project Totem, our ears pricked up. Now with an official name, Kalimba is a puzzle platformer that sees players controlling animated totems as they go about reclaiming the island of Kalimba for the Kalimibi people.

It looks crazy but we very much like that and the promise of both a single player campaign and a couch co-op mode makes us even more interested!

Anyways, enough blabbing, Kalimba will be released on Xbox One come December 17th. It’ll also make its way to PC in Jan 2015 and if we may use Max: TCOB as an example, might even make it’s way to Xbox 360 too (but that’s us guessing…and hoping!).

Take a look at the nuts trailer below.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
