There are a million and one twin-stick shooters already available on console, but that’s not going to stop Troglobytes Games from pushing out another – and right now we see the launch of HyperParasite on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
Available to purchase and download right now on all the usual formats, HyperParasite is the latest twin-sticker to try its arm at combining multiple genres, mixing brawling, shooting and a smattering of rogue-lite action together.
Running with a price point of £12.49, HyperParasite on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC sees you playing as the titular parasite, as you attempt to move between bodies and a variety of characters in order to find the ultimate host – that of the President. And once you’re there, your final goal will be within reach, pushing the Big red Button and ending the human race.
HyperParasite looks set to deliver nothing short of some utterly relentless top-down SHMUP action, with cooperative moments available for those who want them, and a glorious synthwave soundtrack pushing things along whether you like it or not. With tons of shooting options and a host of replayability opportunities, any fan of the SHMUP scene, the rogue-lite worlds, or of the brawling landscape should find plenty of pleasure.
