The Six Nations is on the horizon and so it’s time to ramp up the rugby hype meter more than ever before. Seems about right then that Rugby 20 launches on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Rugby 20 is the latest egg-shaped entertainment experience to come about via the teams at Bigben and Exo Software to ensure fans of the sport are well catered for.
Following on from the likes of Rugby 18 and Rugby World Cup 15 from previous years, Rugby 20 takes the tried and trusted rugby formula to new levels, promising tactical depth, a solid set plays system, new motion captured animations and a whole new redesigned AI.
Throw in some innovative gameplay – although how innovative will only be discovered once our full review of Rugby 20 on Xbox One is live – and a strong focus on simulation, and Rugby 20 really is getting set to become the new standard for any rugby video game. Although let’s admit, it hasn’t got the biggest of competition, certainly not like that found in the football world with the FIFA and PES franchises.
It’s helped by the fact that both single and multiplayer (online and local) opportunities will be found within, as will some of the biggest leagues from across the world – Top 14, Pro D2, Gallagher Premiership and Pro 14.
Should you be a hardcore rugby fan or are just looking to jump in on the back of the Six Nations tournament, then Rugby 20 looks to cater for all. And the usual digital stores will sort you out with the required downloads too – the Xbox Store would be our preference however you’ll also find the game available on PS4 and PC.
