Ratalaika Games are at it again, filling the digital libraries of Xbox and PlayStation with fun little platformers that just so happen to come in with a low asking price. The latest is that of the next-gen exclusive, Mekabolt+. And yes, you may well have heard of that name before.

While it’s not a significant drop of games today, we’re still getting two additions to Game Pass, and that’s A-OK with us. Those games come in the form of Ark: Ultimate Survivor Edition and Infernax. 

We didn’t regret getting tangled up in Spirit Roots, but we didn’t wholly enjoy it either. While it looks like a Rayman Legends expansion pack, and comes with a heap of levels, the charm began wearing off as soon as we started playing.

For platform fans, Unbound: Worlds Apart will be a delight. It's a challenging game, but completely fair and with some well-worked checkpointing that ensures that dying is not a pain. It's inventive as well, with the use of portals helping your puzzle-solving and way through the adventure.

When watching the trailer for Spirit Roots, I noticed the main character held a sword very much like the classic Buster Sword from Final Fantasy VII. Why was that? JanduSoft are well known for bringing weird little games to the modern audience, even if not all of them work out as intended. Next in their attempt at world domination is that of NAPE RETROVERSE COLLECTION. And yep, those capitals are most definitely needed. 

You may have heard of Will You Snail, if only as the creation of this game has been fully documented on Youtube by the developer. Well, now comes the confirmation that the game will launch on PC and console, with a simultaneous launch across multiple platforms.

Lumote has been doing the rounds on PC for a little while already, picking up some critical acclaim in the process. Now though the super-colourful, highly-intriguing puzzle platformer is gearing up for full launch on PC, Stadia and console - with a March 2022 release date now confirmed for Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles.

When the Pogovon Empire invaded the planet of Cocodu, capturing all the cocos in the process, it was all with the very best of intentions. Before long though came the realisation that deadly weapons could be extracted from those same cocos. And that's where things in El Gancho started to go wrong. Thankfully, your trusty laser-hook is here to save the day. 

Vagante has a lot of potential that it doesn’t manage to live up to. It looks nice enough, if a little like you are viewing things through the wrong end of a pair of binoculars, and the setup is interesting. But the numb combat, instant death traps and lack of anything resembling tactics - even in the boss fights - marks it down.
