We’ve been waiting an age for a decent modern take on the skateboarding scene, and for a long while it has looked as though the team at Easy Day Studios are going to be nailing it with Skater XL for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC. The full confirmation of the digital and physical release date is therefore very welcoming.
So, coming to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC in both physical and digital form will be Skater XL, with a confirmed July 7th 2020 release dat enow in place.
Possibly the game to take the skating scene to the next level, Skater XL won’t just be the first skateboarding game to hit to all major platforms in more than 10 years, but it’ll also offer complete physics-based gameplay with total freedom of control and expression given to the player.
Given the chance to play as skating icons Tiago Lemos, Evan Smith, Tom Asta or Brandon Westgate, you will attempt to make your way to becoming a skateboarding pro, building up your own character with unique characteristics and authentic gear from top skateboarding brands.
And that gear is going to be totally dope, with Easy Day Studios confirming that Skater XL will feature apparel, footwear, decks, wheels, and more from top skate brands, including:

Skater XL will let you create, combine, and style tricks as you hit Downtown LA and other iconic California locations, places where street legends have left their mark. You’ll be able to dive into the digital skate subculture with more than 60 real skate spots connected by block after block of plazas, schools, pools, buildings, car parks and corridors. With a huge modding community that has created thousands of maps, digital skate ezines, personal highlight reels, in-game brands, and tournaments, with the game well up for celebrating the creativity and dedication of the skate community.
