Baobabs Mausoleum Grindhouse Edition launch

Want crazy? Like proper crazy? You got it with Baobabs Mausoleum Grindhouse Edition.

Available to purchase and download right now from your favourite digital stores, Baobabs Mausoleum Grindhouse Edition rolls out on to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC thanks to the team at Zerouno Games. And we don’t know Zerouno Games, nor not know what is going through their mind, but we dig what we’re seeing from the trailers and screens. A lot.

Priced at £14.24 from the Xbox Store, with similar pricing elsewhere, Baobabs Mausoleum Grindhouse Edition sees you going out to steal, to fight, to negotiate and to solve puzzles. In fact, as long as you can find the long lost Daphne and make your way out of the crazy cursed town that surrounds you, it seems like you can do what the hell you like.

An 8-bit retro adventure, that cursed town is the one and only Flamingo Creek, a ghost town that only ever pops up every 25 years or so. It just so happens that this town has a draw, one that you’ll strangely want to immerse yourself in.

With the Baobabs Mausoleum Grindhouse Edition seeing us follow Watracio Walpurgis, an eggplant FBI agent, bringing together three chapters of his tale in the process, if you’re looking for something to pass the time this weekend, and are ready for something just a little different to the norm, you’ve probably found it here.

We’ll do our best to get a full review of Baobabs Mausoleum Grindhouse Edition on Xbox out there in front of your eyes as soon as possible. But if you can’t hold for that, just pop straight over to the Xbox Store – or the format store of your choosing (Switch and PS4 here) if you wish to play games elsewhere – and grab a download right now.

Game Description:

Follow Watracio Walpurgis, our fresh eggplant FBI agent, in this arc of three chapters that unifies the universe of Celery Emblem’s Jacob Jazz on the ultimate Baobabs Mausoleum Grindhouse Edition. Go crazy in this 8-bit retro adventure set in Flamingo’s Creek, a ghost town that only appears every 25 years on the Albatro’s Road and immerse yourself in the most out-of-touch, alienated neighborhood community you will ever know. Steal, fight, negotiate, solve puzzles… Anything goes to find Daphne and get out of that cursed town that will be kept, forever, inside your brain as one of the selected nightmares ever created.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
