Having run a reasonably decent release on the worlds of VR, Cave Diggers 2 comes to Xbox. The question is: are you ready to dig harder?
Available right now on Xbox Series X|S is that of Cave Digger 2 by VRKiwi. Now, as the developer’s name may suggest, this is a game that first popped up on the VR platforms of this world, allowing players the chance to adventure like never before. We’ve constantly been tempted by it on PSVR2, holding back in preference of tackling the underground on Xbox.Â
Doing away with the VR
And our wait has proved to be a profitable one as today Cave Digger 2 hits those Xbox worlds. It has you playing as an old prospector who is looking to uncover a ton of treasure. They do that by heading deep into the mines, working the mazes of the caves, all in hope.
With secrets to find, and breadcrumbs from previous explorers to follow, if going down into the dark with a pickaxe for company sounds to be your bag, then Cave Digger 2 may well suit. With VRKiwi flattening the experience for Xbox consoles, it promises to be an altogether different game to that of the VR world too.Â
We quite liked the original Cave Digger when we reviewed it a couple of years back. Signs are therefore good for Cave Digger 2, no?

Priced well at £12.49, there should be a decent degree of love kicking around for the release of Cave Digger 2 on Xbox. Just be aware that if you are intending on getting involved, you’ll need to be playing on Xbox Series X|S. This is a current-gen only release, and as such, Cave Digger 2 isn’t playable on Xbox One.Â

Cave Digger 2 on Xbox Game Description
Play as a prospector who begins their adventure in a seemingly abandoned camp with the goal to extract valuables from the caves. Trade them for new tools, upgrades, and locations in order to advance your frontier exploration.
To unveil the secrets of the Valley, follow the breadcrumbs left by a previous explorer known only as Clayton. The story has multiple endings, each revealing a different side of it.
