Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, A Short Hike from the developer Adam Robinson-Yu will have you wandering through Hawk Peak Provincial Park. It’s here where you’ll have the opportunity to follow the paths ahead, or remove yourself from the beaten track and go exploring, all in hope of meeting others with like-minded ideas. Oh, and you might just stumble upon some hidden treasure in the process.
Priced at £6.69, A Short Hike does as it says on the tin, provides you with access to a short hike. Having previously gone down rather well on the likes of PlayStation, Switch and PC – and when we say rather well, we mean there are some serious 5/5 and 10/10 scores doing the rounds – this little open world indie is one that looks to be full of delights.
There’s looking like being a ton of things to do whilst you’re out in the wilderness too, and if that treasure hunting and hiker chat isn’t to your liking, then kicking back with an original soundtrack certainly should be.
The key features of A Short Hike include:
- Explore the island any way you like. Choose your own path to follow and see where it leads you. You never know what you might stumble into!
- Hike at your own pace — there’s no need to rush to the summit! Take your time fishing along the river banks or swimming by the lakeshore.
- Collect hidden treasures to reach new heights. Try taking a dive off the mountain peaks to soar above the forests.
- Chat with the other hikers you meet along your route. You might be able to help each other out!
