Heading to Scotland with Train Sim World 4’s latest freight pack?

Hopping onto the back of the most recent expansion for Train Sim World 4 – that of the stunning Bernina Line – is the opportunity to go freighting to Scotland. What d’ya mean it’s not as exciting as a trip through the Italian mountains?

Scotland awaits in the latest gameplay pack for Train Sim World 4. Running as the mouthful that is the Train Sim World 4 Edinburgh – Glasgow: Engineering Express Pack, it comes with additional services complete with both freight and engineering trains, new liveries and the opportunity to go operating a variety of non-passenger routes, taking place between Edinburgh and Glasgow. 

A new freight pack for Train Sim World 4

Present and correct on the usual digital stores right now is the Train Sim World 4 Edinburgh – Glasgow: Engineering Express Pack. It will set you back £9.99; at least from the Xbox Store. That is considerably less than standard Train Sim World 4 expansions. 

Drop in and take to the railways and you’ll find hefty ballast trains, crucial engineering works trains and daring drags of the route’s modern ScotRail Class 385. These all form part of the updated timetable, giving players a different set of challenges on this inter-city route Add-on.

The Edinburgh – Glasgow route was first released last year and is compatible with Train Sim World 4. And that means it comes compatible with some of the latest features like Volumetric Fog.

What’s more, Train Sim World 4’s brand new Free Roam feature will also give players of the Engineering Express Pack the ability to operate the new Direct Rail Services and ONE Class 66s across other routes in their collection.

Partnering up

This pack marks the fourth in a series by Partner Programme developers. Rivet Games have previously released one for their Swiss Arosalinie route. And there is also Skyhook Games’ Cargo Line pack for Midland Main Line. Further is a Class 323 pack for Birmingham Cross-City by new developer SimTrack Studios.

With a base game of Train Sim World 4 in your digital library, you can get in on the freight action right now with the Train Sim World 4. Edinburgh – Glasgow: Engineering Express Pack. it is available right now for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S from the Xbox Store. It’s also on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. 

You’ll probably want the ScotRail Express: Edinburgh – Glasgow pack too.
