When you have a game that is continually added to in the way Dovetail Games’ The Catch: Carp & Coarse has done so, it’s pretty inevitable that eventually, at some point down the line, the worlds within will begin to merge as one. That is the case here and now with The Catch: Carp & Coarse as a brand new Collector’s Edition of the game casts out to anglers across the globe.

Available to purchase and download right this instant is The Catch: Carp & Coarse – Collector’s Edition. Available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S through the Xbox Store, and through the PlayStation Store for PS4, this Collector’s Edition of the game does as you would expect, bringing together the base game along with a ton of additional content.

The Catch: Carp & Coarse – Collector’s Edition will set you back £26.74, but by opening the wallet and dropping the big bucks you’ll find that you get some properly beastly content, with not just the core experience included, but access given to both the Jezioro Bestii and the Lake Beasts Equipment Pack. With those two packs usually setting fisherfolk back by £8.79 and £5.99 respectively, and the base game already a penny shy of £20, it’s easy to see where the draw of this Collector’s Edition comes in – the price being saved over individual purchases.

And if you do decide to jump in feet first will discover that the The Catch: Carp & Coarse – Collector’s Edition gives access to 6 different worlds, 35 fish species, 150 legendary boss fish to catch AND absolutely hundreds of equipment types, with everything from the Lake Beasts Equipment Pack dropped in.

It’s totally safe to say that should you have dipped your toe into the murky waters of The Catch previously, this may not be for you, as much of what is included will already be in your digital library. But coming in fresh to the whole virtual fishing experience? This is the Collector’s Edition you are looking for. If you are new, make sure you take in our hints and tips on how to become the best angler ever with The Catch. They are sure to help you out.

DLC Description:

The Catch: Carp & Coarse Collector’s Edition contains not only the core experience but also Jezioro Bestii and the Lake Beasts Equipment Pack. Using the correct gear, in ideal weather conditions and at the right time of day are all vital to hook a monster in this species hunting game. Go hunt 150 unique, legendary boss fish, spread across 6 stunning world destinations that all present their own challenges. Fish from the shoreline or take to the water in different boats to locate the 35 different species of fish that each have their own behaviours. Using the hundreds of different items of equipment on offer, create different set ups to cover all situations and use some of your favourite real-world equipment from the biggest manufactures in the industry.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
