Slowly but surely the underground indie titles that have flooded onto PC through Steam in recent years have been making their way over to console. The latest to join the line is that of Mind Maze as it brings some competitive logic puzzling to Xbox, PlayStation and Switch.
Available on Steam since back in 2017, Mind Maze has grabbed some Mostly Positive reviews since that time; albeit not many. With the move to console though and launch on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5 and PS Vita (Yep, VITA!) it’s now that we see the game really gain traction.
It’s priced at £4.19 which means it’s certainly cheap enough for a punt should you wish to take one. From there, it all sounds pretty nifty too. Sold as a competitive logic puzzler in which either the solo player can get on with alone, or multiple players can work a hotseat mode with up to 8 players in all, you’ll be tasked with building walls in order to create a labyrinth all in order to capture the cells found in the playing field.Â
Creating traps for your opponent is the key to success here and so full calculation of moves is something that should always be at the fore of your mine. But you’ll want to be a little sneaky too, sitting back and waiting for you opponent to make a mistake before jumping on it.
