Call of the Wild The Angler South Africa Reserve

Call of the Wild: The Angler may not be the best fishing game on the market, but as a place to spend a few hours, it’s extremely pleasant. We’re hoping we can say the same about the new South Africa Reserve content that has hit the game. But with dinos roaming…

Available right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC is the new Call of the Wild: The Angler – South Africa Reserve. This is the latest in a long line of new content packs to hit the game since it launched back in 2023, with this one promising much more than just the norm.

Heading to South Africa?

It’s priced at £8.39, or is present as part of the Reserve Pass for the game. However you pick it up, you’ll find that it whisks you off to the wilds of South Africa and given the opportunity to catch some super unique fish species. In fact, there are no less than 16 fish to find in all, with 13 new discoveries in place.

There are also Fishing Hubs that provide various missions, as well as the prehistoric Dino Park to take in. What’s best though is that a purchase of the South Africa Reserve will allow you to fish away with your mates in tow, even if they only have the base game in their library.

Of course, you’ll need the base game of Call of the Wild: The Angler in order to make use of this DLC pack. If you haven’t yet picked it up, give our review a read. We gave it a 3.5/5 in review

“When all the aspects of Call of the Wild: The Angler come together, the resulting mix is actually a pleasant place to spend a few hours. Driving to a new lake, having a few casts and seeing what you can find is remarkably zen; a very calming experience.”
