The Easiest (But Still Fun) Games to Play

-

There are times when you want to test yourself in the gaming world. And when those moments strike, you’ll have no trouble finding games that push you to the limit. Games like Flywrench, Trials Fusion, and In The Groove made their names not for the quality of their storylines and designs, but because of how difficult they were to complete. Feel free to try them for yourself, and you’ll see what we mean.

While a challenge can be good from time to time, most of the time we want to play games to relax — and that means that they can’t be overly difficult. Happily, there’s a long list of games that are easy without sacrificing the fun aspect. In this blog, we’ll look at some of the best options that strike a fine balance between ease and fun.

Skyrim

Skyrim isn’t necessarily an easy game to complete. But to play? Yep, it can be an all-out fun jaunt in a digital world. Players aren’t supposed to follow the plot to the letter; they’re encouraged to explore the open-world format that the game provides. If you’re looking for a relaxing yet interesting way to pass an evening, then load up the Elder Scrolls incarnations of Skyrim and get to work on breezing through the side quests

Slots

Some games are so complex that you need a tutorial guide just to figure out what your next move should be. Others are a case of pushing a button and seeing what happens. That’s the case with online slots, which are one of the easier gaming types to get to grips with. The game might be easier than average to play, but that doesn’t make it any less engaging; the world of online casino slots is large, with games featuring a wide range of different designs and storylines.

Rollercoaster Tycoon

You have a very simple task to complete in Rollercoaster Tycoon: build a rollercoaster. You can make the most complex (and unsafe) roller coaster the world has ever seen, or you can build something so simple that no one in the real world would even think it was a theme park. In other words, the extent of effort and work is completely up to you. There’s no real end goal; it’s the journey that counts.

The Sims

The Sims is similar to Rollercoaster Tycoon in many ways. It’s an open world, and it’s up to you to build it as you see fit. As with other simulation games, you can make it difficult — if your goal is to create a family that has its own private jet and large mansion, then, yep, that’s going to take some work. But the game is just as fun when you’re messing around.

Mario Kart

Mario Kart is nearly as simple as games can be, at least at the most basic level. You can tweak the settings to make it challenging, but if you’re just looking for a quick game to play solo or with your family, then the out-of-the-box settings will do just fine. Plug in, turn it on, and you can have a few hours of good times without breaking a sweat.

Animal Crossing

Animal Crossing is simple, simple, simple. You’re led through the initial rounds of the game, and from there, it’s all about keeping things civil and pleasant with your neighbours. It’s not “exciting fun,” more “wholesome fun,” but that doesn’t make it any less worthwhile. Indeed, after a hard day at work, there’s arguably nothing better than plugging into a virtual world where doing good and helping each other is the name of the game.
