If there was an award for ‘most macho game ever’, then Broforce would have the title wrapped up before dinner. Originally releasing in 2015, the bombastic pixelated chaos took the world by storm, prompting a further release onto console a few years back. Now, Broforce Forever is releasing as a major expansion to the game, as well as introducing the game to Game Pass subscribers.

Coming to Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation, Switch and PC today, Broforce Forever is a heart-pumping, frantic platforming shooter that will rarely allow you to take a breather.
It tells the tale of evil threatening the world, prompting the over-powered Broforce squad to roll in and bear arms. With up to four player local or online co-op to boot, Broforce will have you shouting in glee as you blow up yet another enemy soldier with all manner of devastating weaponry. Think of things like an even more macho Contra, and you are getting the picture.
The Broforce Forever expansion just adds to things, in a major way. As well as the inclusion of an improved and expanded main campaign, as well as four new challenge levels to try your hand at, the most important addition is that of six new bros to play as.
All-New Bros!
Xebro, the Warrior Princess is the first of these new playable characters, specialising in melee combat as they dash through the battlefield. Demolition Bro obviously uses bombs as his main form of attack, and can rip apart the level, opening up new attack routes. The sniper Burt Brommer is an intriguing character, with the ability to take down multiple enemies at once, with a homing sniper bullet.
Next up is the poison-spitting Seth Brondle, who specialises in crowd-control, throwing down damaging poison pools on the floor. Broffy the Vampire Slayer uses their throwing knives to dice up the competition. Finally, Desperabro summons the power of his musical band (as well as a few guns!) to blow away his enemies.

- NEW BROS – Harness the calculating intelligence and acid-spitting allure of Seth Brondle, wield Xebro’s flying Chakram, serenade (and grenade) terrorism with the flamenco firebrand Desperabro, or become the thing monsters have nightmares about, a stake throwing, unholy purging, self-resurrecting teenage Slayer! If sniping is more your style, famed bug hunter Bro Gummer brings pinpoint liberation with his trusty rifle, while Demolition Bro’s Freeze Grenades put evildoers right back where they belong… ON ICE.
- NEW BADDIES – A Bro only becomes a force when confronted with those who seek to destroy their freedoms, and in Broforce Forever, the terrorists are even more determined to delete democracy. Motorbike Maniacs will try to run you down, while machine gun placements, barbed wire, sandbags and bazooka-laden blimps conspire to make each visit to occupied territory a very, very bad day at the broffice.
- NEW CHALLENGES – Bros in search of even bigger battles can flex their muscles in new challenge levels known as Muscle Temples. Each campaign tasks Indiana Brones with navigating a perilous temple that features a new Threat Level and specific enemy types and hazards. Succeed and unlock one of four new flexes that can be deployed by any Bro, any time, any place. Just like freedom.

Broforce Forever on Game Pass is available now. In fact, it is available today on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Switch and PC.

Game Description
Broforce Forever, the long-awaited free update to 2015’s most patriotic video game, held back from freedom-loving gamers for a crime it didn’t commit, has promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade and unleashes a megaton of Kentucky-fried carnage into the face of evil.
