From the Eastasiasoft and NipoBox teams, The Red Exile – Survival Horror does pretty much as you would expect a game of its type. And in that, expect tons of horror. Placing you in a randomly generated land, it’s up to you to escape your pursuer – fail, and death awaits.
The problem is, the chaser is AI powered, learning from your actions and reactions. How can you possibly escape something that is continually learning what you know? We’re not sure – and honestly, we don’t think we want to find out. If we can drag ourselves away from the back of the sofa though, we’ll sort a review.
Priced at £4.19, The Red Exile – Survival Horror works in some roguelite elements for good measure. There are a metric-ton of puzzles to keep you busy as well. Ultimately, an escape is your end goal, with an exile rite being performed in order to do so.Â
But Eastasiasoft and NipoBox are at least giving you the tools to allow for success. New abilities will come left, right and centre, stacking things in your favour. And of course, if you can find somewhere to hide…

The hunt is on as you attempt to perform an exile rite on a maniac pursuer before he finds and kills you! First-person survival horror gets a roguelike twist in The Red Exile, where every playthrough is randomized across a procedurally generated map to keep you on your toes while elements of hand-crafted puzzles and level design are layered within. Your task is to perform an exile rite to rid this realm of your maniac pursuer before he can kill you first. Outsmart, evade and fend off your pursuer as you locate items to unlock new rooms and complete the ritual. But be careful, the AI-powered pursuer learns from the actions you take and gradually grows stronger! Collect perks to unlock new abilities and stack the deck in your favor. Can you adapt and survive this deadly game of cat and mouse?
