The puzzles are back with Word Maze by POWGI on Xbox

The canine mascot of POWGI means one thing – puzzles! We’ve solved giant word searches in Sixty Words by POWGI, unique crossword challenges with Crossovers by POWGI. In fact, we’ve solved hundreds upon hundreds of puzzles with POWGI. POWGI, POWGI, POWGI! And now we’ll do it all over again with Word Maze by POWGI on Xbox.

It releases today on Xbox platforms, following a launch onto PlayStation in 2019. POWGI’s next puzzle offering iterates upon the humble wordsearch format, with the addition of word ‘mazes’. 

Word Maze by POWGI on Xbox is, like every other puzzle title in the series, incredibly simple in premise. But it will have you ripping your hair out with frustration when it comes to the latter levels. 

In a nutshell, Word Maze by POWGI offers you dozens of puzzles, each of which starts off with a grid full of jumbled letters. Your goal is to draw a path through each of the letters, passing through each once, in order to find words that completes a list, or fits a category. 

The easiest puzzles will present you with a list of words to find alongside the grid, whilst the harder challenges gives you only a category (eg. colours), from which you must find words to fit.

This is a unique puzzle format exclusive to this game – you won’t be finding this on the back of your newspaper. Therefore this should be seen as a real treat for puzzle lovers. From what we have seen so far, the categories are vast and varied, from capital cities, to food items, to newspaper names. In fact, the number of levels has reached a whopping 720, as many of the levels are brought from the Switch and 3DS POWGI compendiums.

Word Maze by POWGI on Xbox is Now Available

Whether a puzzle newbie or hardened veteran, the next instalment in the ‘by POWGI’ series is sure to please with its unique challenge, and highly addictive gameplay. 

The game is now available on Xbox Series X|S (optimised), Xbox One, PS5 and PS4. To pick up a copy on Xbox, the Xbox Store has you sorted for £6.69.
