The thrilling psychokinesis action of Scarlet Nexus arrives on Xbox One, Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and PC

scarlet nexus release

We’re halfway through 2021 but Scarlet Nexus has most certainly been one of the most anticipated titles of the year. And right now you can be playing it, as it launches on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and PC.

Coming from Bandai Namco, Scarlet Nexus whisks us off into a far distant future, one in which a psionic hormone has meant some folk have been granted extra sensory powers. As you would expect, this changes everything – humanity and the world – as the fight kicks off for human brains.

It’s here where you come in, taking on the role of either Yuito Sumeragi or Kasane Randall, immersing yourself into the dual-pathed story before things begin to interweave together to unlock the truth behind the secrets and mysteries of Scarlet Nexus as a whole.

Sold as a brain punk experience, what is promised with the release of Scarlet Nexus on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and PC is massively promising. If that tale of future technology, weird hormones and psychic abilities floats your boat, we’re not sure you should be looking at anything other than what Bandai have created here.

We’re well underway with our full review of Scarlet Nexus on Xbox Series X|S so if you wish to know how it plays out on the most powerful console Microsoft has ever created, hold tight and keep an eye out for our words.

Seriously though, we’re pretty sure this one is going to be a massive hit and you could well be crazy for not wanting to get involved immediately. For those already drawn in by the hype, by the visuals, by the premise or by the sound, you’ll find your favourite digital store offering up the usual downloads.

For Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S players, that means taking a mind-trip to the Xbox Store and considering a purchase of either the standard edition of the game for £49.99, or the slightly more expensive £59.99 Deluxe Edition. Go with the latter and you get a host of add-ons like the Brain Punk Bundle, a digital soundtrack and artbook, some special battle attire and more.

Let us know which version you’re getting.

Game Description:

In the far distant future, a psionic hormone was discovered in the human brain, granting people extra-sensory powers and changed the world as we knew it. As humanity entered this new era, deranged mutants known as Others began to descend from the sky with a hunger for human brains. Highly resistant to conventional attack methods, extreme measures needed to be taken to battle the overwhelming threat and preserve humanity. Those with acute extra-sensory abilities, known as psionics, were our only chance to fight the onslaught from above. Since then, psionics have been scouted for their talents and recruited to the Other Suppression Force (OSF), humanity’s last line of defense. Featuring a dual story, begin your adventure with either Yuito Sumeragi, an energetic recruit from a prestigious political family or Kasane Randall, the mysterious scout whose power and skill has gained great notoriety among the OSF. As their different experiences interweave with each other, it is only then that you will reveal the full story and unlock all the mysteries of a Brain Punk future caught between technology and psychic abilities in SCARLET NEXUS.
