Already available on Steam, Them’s Fightin’ Herds has today been confirmed to launch on Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation, with an autumn release planned.
Them’s Fightin’ Herds is a 2D fighter in which the character roster and classes are comprised or a host of adorable little animals. Yep, this may have a cute outer, but hidden within is a deep fighter that brings a ton of chaos. Currently available on PC through Steam, where it’s picked up some decent reviews, Them’s Fightin’ Herds will soon be making the jump to console, with Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch options becoming available.
It’ll arrive in Autumn 2022, as Modus Games goes about bringing its cute and cuddly cast of combo-ing hooved fighters to console. And whilst the base game will be more than enough to cater for many, a Season 1 Pass will also be dropping in to action. It’s this which will bring more content, featuring four brand-new DLC fighters, stages, and cosmetics which will ensure you get to look fresh while kicking butt.
The Season 1 Pass will be included in the Deluxe Edition or as a separate digital upgrade when Them’s Fightin’ Herds releases later this year on PC and console. You’ll find a physical version hitting the Maximum Games Store too.
Should you be unaware, Them’s Fightin’ Herds is a four-button, 2D fighting game that features a cast of characters that have been designed by Lauren Faust, producer and developer for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. It’s a game in which you’ll get to tussle in Arcade mode and go up against others in Local Versus Modes. There will obviously be practice options present in both the Tutorial and Training Modes, along with a host of online matchmaking features ready for you to test yourself against players from around the world. Oh yeah, and an episodic Story Mode will blend a bit of top-down adventure with the usual fighting game combat challenges.
If you haven’t played on Steam, then get set for Them’s Fightin’ Herds when it releases on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch later in the year. You’ll also be able to see the game in action by taking in the Combo Breaker from May 27th-29th, as players go hoof-to-hoof in community-driven competition. Combo Breaker is an annual fighting game tournament based in Chicago, IL and the third largest fighting game event in the world, bringing together fans and competitors from around the globe.
