Looking for a bit of variety in your life? The best way of getting that is by immersing yourself in the numerous Rocksmith Variety packs that have been made available over the years, with the latest pack – that of Variety Pack XX – seeing Thin Lizzy, Wheatus and more deliver an even wider range of tunes.

The Rocksmith Variety Pack XX is the 20th variety pack to rock on up to the Rocksmith library since the multitude of content add-ons started hitting us up. No matter whether you are still finding yourself enjoying the riffs learnt via Rocksmith 2014 Edition, or preferring the enhanced affair that is found in Rocksmith Remastered, the latest variety pack can be yours. And if you like any of the following tunes and bands, a purchase of it is a bit of a no-brainer…

  • Thin Lizzy – Whiskey in the Jar
  • Deep Blue Something – Breakfast at Tiffany’s
  • Les Paul & Mary Ford – On the Sunny Side of the Street
  • Wheatus – Teenage Dirtbag

As always, each of the tunes listed above can be purchase and downloaded straight to your Rocksmith library for just ÂŁ2.39 each. Now, whilst that is a more than reasonable price to pay for the opportunity to practice, play and eventually utterly nail a new tune, it must be said that the full Rocksmith Variety Pack XX is also very tempting. The ÂŁ7.99 price tag, and the inclusion of some brilliant tunes from Thin Lizzy, Wheatus and Deep Blue Something especially should see this latest pack of diverse tunes appealing to a decent number of Rocksmith players.

If you are tempted then you can grab the latest content by hitting up your favoured digital store. Us Xbox One and Xbox 360 rockers will do well to pay a visit to the brilliant Xbox Store, whilst those preferring to take in their guitar tutoring on PS4 and PS3 should head to their own relevant store.

With Rocksmith 2014 Edition and Rocksmith Remastered both promising to be the fastest way to learn guitar – something our review fully supports – you’d be mad to not want to give it a go.

Let us know if the Rocksmith way of life, or the Variety Pack XX, is for you by posting in the comments below. We’d love to hear your thoughts.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
