Puzzles are rather exciting and satisfying to solve on your own, but Batu Ta Batu wants to raise the stakes by letting others join you for more of a challenge. Could this tile-based puzzler out now on Xbox One be sliding into your gaming library sometime soon?

Literally translated into English as ‘Join and Join’, Batu Ta Batu is a colourful tile game suitable for one to four players locally. The aim is to slide tiles around in order to combine them with those of the same colour, which then sees you progress to more complex puzzles. As the clock is ticking away, swiftness is a key factor, but be careful because making the wrong move can lead to failure. You must play strategically and find the ideal solutions to maximize your total score.

It appears as though it’s the kind of game that’s easy enough to pick up and play, yet relatively tough to master – and slightly reminiscent of Threes in some ways. Given that there are a whopping ten different game modes on offer and hundreds of levels within, Batu Ta Batu has the potential to be regarded as an absolute bargain as it’s priced at a mere £4.19 on the Xbox Store. Better yet, it’s discounted by 20% for the next week or so, making it £3.35!

For a couple of quid, it’s not a big risk to bolster your couch multiplayer options, is it? Should you decide to take the plunge and purchase Batu Ta Batu, please do let us know whether you’re enjoying it, or not.
