For a game that has been doing the rounds on pretty much all other platforms, it’s strange that we haven’t previously heard of Tri6: Infinite. Or if we have, it was soon forgotten. That looks to change now though, as Tri6: Infinite comes to Xbox.
Available to purchase and download on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S (optimised) is Tri6: Infinite. It’s a game that comes about via the Clockwork Origins team, having previously spent time on PC, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
Now on Xbox
Priced at £6.69, Tri6: Infinite on Xbox is an endless racer; one in which the tracks you race on constantly switch up. This is done through obstacle variety, with them randomly chucked down as you pass each lap counter. Ramping up in difficulty as you go, you can be sure that Tri6: Infinite won’t be an easy test.
Your ultimate goal in Tri6: Infinite is to avoid those obstacles, and to race further, longer and harder than the evil Virus enemies that pop up. Only then will you find solace in the leaderboards that are present. All before being tasked to go at it again.
Power-ups help (of course they do), whilst a number of vehicles types will allow you to play Tri6: Infinite as you see fit. Throw in splitscreen multiplayer support and you’ll find an endless racer of worth.
For Tri6: Infinite to succeed on Xbox, you’ll want to get to grips with the various mechanics and key features. For a game that is so cheap, it seems pretty decent in terms of what is on offer too…
The key features and mechanics
- Features – 3 playable vehicles with different steering characteristics; 11 unlockable powerups; More than 300 obstacle variations; Global leaderboards per vehicle across all supported platforms; Up to 4 players splitscreen support
- Obstacles – More than 300 obstacle variations that are randomly distributed and get harder with every lap will lead to endless variations of the track. And be careful, not every obstacle is just static! There are also Virus vehicles driving along the track with you, trying to put an end to your existence.
- Powerups – While playing you will collect electrons that unlock new powerups. The powerups will allow you to survive longer and defeat the Virus constructs. They are grouped in active ones that are reusable (e.g. missiles) and passive ones that are consumable (e.g. shield).
- Splitscreen – Play together with up to three friends on one device. Drive the track, avoid obstacles and survive longer than your friends. Of course you can use all your powerups against them to decrease their three lives down to zero.

Tri6: Infinite is available on the Xbox Store as we speak. You’ll be able to play it on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It’s also on PlayStation, Switch and PC (Steam) if you wish.
